In three companies, TeleTrend Communications Inc., Computer Telephone Systems Inc., and Association Marketing Solutions Inc., Mr. White has been directly responsible for the management of operations. The functions managed in each company included Accounting, Administration, Customer Service, Transaction Processing, Marketing Support, and IT Systems.
As an example, at Association Marketing Solutions, a newsletter publishing business, Mr. White tested and implemented a new marketing program concept by doing the following:
- Developing a MS PowerPoint presentation to deliver to prospective customer audiences
- Delivering the presentation to audiences in various parts of the country to test the marketability of the concept
- Once proven, developing the systems necessary to support the scaling of the marketing and operation including:
- Managing the development of a SQL server mailing list database which was online and accessible by customers for securely adding, deleting and editing their mailing lists.
- Managed the development of a website to facilitate the ongoing marketing of programs and support of customers, including an e-commerce solution.
- Conducting a search, selection & implementation of a billing vendor that could receive structured data from our customer database, email invoices, charge credit cards, provide online access to customers for the payment or management of their accounts, and provide required A/R accounting data.
- Hire, train, organize and manage adequate staff to perform customer service and mailing production operations.
- Hire and manage marketing personnel to scale up the marketing of the program.
